Zim (June) Franklin Seagle Jr.

Zim (June) Franklin Seagle Jr., 83, of Hickory, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Carolina Caring. He was born on November 1, 1941, to the late Zim Franklin Seagle Sr. and Ada Seagle Hubbard.

Zim had a warm heart and a generous spirit. Known for never meeting a stranger, he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a deep love for his family and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially collecting roosters and visiting estate sales.

He is survived by his loving family: sisters Zelma London, Diane Weaver (Gerry Harvey), and Deborah Collins (Scott Guthrie); special cousins Allen Johnson (Linda Johnson) and Connie Johnson (Cynthia Grant); his son Jeff Campbell; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five nieces; and six nephews.

In addition to his parents, Zim Franklin Seagle Sr. and Ada Seagle Hubbard, Zim was preceded in death by his siblings Charles Seagle, Dorothy Parker, James Seagle, and Wayne Seagle; his nephew Steve Seagle; his great-niece Mandy Seagle; and his beloved dog and companion, Spanky.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Andrew Rawls.
