William Clark
July 8, 1938 — July 23, 2021
William Douglas Clark, 83, of Hickory, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021 at Carolina Caring. Born July 8th, 1938 he was the son of the late Edgar Clark and Gladys Bowers Clark. William, "Doug", worked for Piedmont Natural Gas in Charlotte for over 30 years. He will be remembered as an avid hunter, fisherman and loving husband and father. During his retirement, he volunteered for Morganton Wildlife Resources and the USDA.
His wife, Carolyn; three daughters, Melinda Offer and husband Ben, Shelly Johnston and husband Richard and Jill Clark and grand-daughter Ashton Johnston survive him.
In addition to his parents, Edgar Clark and Gladys Bowers, his sister Sylvia Bates preceded him in death.
