June 8, 1948 — November 14, 2025

William (Billy) Ross Whitmire, 77, of Newton, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born on June 8, 1948, he was the son of the late Charles Robert Whitmire and Odessa Whitmire.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brother Dale Whitmire; his sister Candy Laws; and his grandparents Everett Setzer and Hattie Setzer.
