Wanda Mae Ledford

Wanda Mae Ledford, 76 of Taylorsville passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born, June 6th, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Claude J. McFee and Mildred Whetstine McFee.

Wanda loved the medical profession and worked in that field from the time she graduated from high school. She earned her RN degree from Randolph Community College and worked in a doctor's office until her retirement. She also volunteered at the Pregnancy Care Center of Catawba County.

Wanda was a faithful member of Viewmont Baptist Church, where she was involved in several ministries of the church. She was also a member of North Carolina Campers on Mission, serving in a leadership position in Western North Carolina.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Ledford; her sons: Michael Keith Ledford (April) and Danny Ray Ledford (Jennifer); her brother, John Wayne McFee; her uncle, Howard Whetstine; her six grandchildren: Tiffany Prescott (Bobby), Jacob Ledford, Daniel Ledford, Andrew Ledford, Benjamin Ledford, and Joshua Ledford; her four great-grandchildren: Abigail Prescott, Logan Prescott, Elijah Prescott, and Charlotte Ledford; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Claude J. McFee, and Mildred Whetstine McFee she is preceded in death by her brother, Mark McFee.

A memorial service honoring the life of Wanda Ledford is planned for Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Viewmont Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 2:00pm in the Gathering Area, with the service following.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Unified Budget of Viewmont Baptist Church.

Jenkins Funeral Home staff is not involved in the memorial service at the church.
