Vada Killian

Vada Lorene Killian 84 of Newton passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at her residence. Born Friday, April 9th, 1937 she was the daughter of Lindsey Broadus Jones and Docie Hoyle Jones.

Vada Killian was a devoted wife, faithful Christian and member of Startown First Baptist Church of Newton, a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family, a fantastic cook who loved to feed her family and those who loved a home cooked meal, and she was a great listener who gave wonderful advice.

Her husband Glenn Eugene Killian of 38 years of Newton; two sons Kenneth Morgan of Newton, and Dennis Morgan and wife Mary of Newton; two daughters, Carolyn Woodring and husband Freddie of Vale, and Patricia Morgan and husband Dennis of Newton; 11 grandchildren, Christy Minton, Jason Woodring, Andrew Woodring, Melissa Riley, Bradley Morgan, Shannon Morgan, Angela Watts, Travis Morgan, Eric Woodring, David Morgan, Joshua Morgan; and 13 great-grandchildren survive her.

In addition to her parents, Lindsey Broadus Jones and Docie Hoyle Jones, seven older siblings, first husband Ken Morgan, and a daughter-in-law Karen Morgan preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00PM Saturday July 10th, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00PM Saturday July 10th, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
