Thomas Hamilton Mayo

Thomas Hamilton Mayo, 83, of Hickory died Friday, September 25, 2026 at Carolina Caring. Born November 9th, 1942 he was the son of the late Ralph and Dorothy Mayo and Hilda Snead.

His children, John Mayo (Karen) of Winston-Salem and Piper Stephens (Benny); his brother, James K Mayo (Pam) of Glen Allen, Virginia; nine grandchildren five great-grandchildren and special friends: Bill Chambers, Harold Pritchard and Pat Mogon survive him.

In addition to his parents, his loving wife of 43 years, Quilla Mayo and his sister, Bettie Anne Mayo preceded him in death.

His celebration of life will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Hope Hickory Church, 130 16th St SE, Hickory, NC 28602 with Pastor Kenneth Hall officiating.
