Thomas Harless

Thomas Louis Harless, 87, joined his wife Carol in Heaven June 4, 2024. Raised in Cross Lanes, WV, former resident of Lake Wales, FL & most recently resided in Vale, NC. An Army Veteran, he retired from the WV Turnpike & was also a former employee of Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, FL.
He was a man who loved his family & friends unconditionally. He enjoyed traveling & had a passion for genealogy. He was dedicated to his faith & loved the Lord. Former member of Cross Lanes UMC & Poca UMC both in WV, First Methodist in Lake Wales, FL & Messiah UMC in Vale, NC.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his loving wife, Carol Milam Harless & three infant daughters.
He is survived by his sister, Jacquelyn Harless Hanson of Winter Haven, FL. Daughter, Ginny Harless Hornbeck & husband Todd of Vale, NC. Granddaughter Amber Winnell & husband Brandon (great grandchildren Lexi, Hunter, Stephanie & Rhydon Winnell) of Myrtle Beach, SC & Charleston, WV. Grandson Austin Hornbeck of Midland, NC.
Arrangements entrusted to Jenkins Funeral Home of Newton, NC.
A graveside service to be held at the family cemetery in WV at a later date.
