Shirley Jean Johnson

Shirley Jean Johnson, 57, of Hickory, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. Born September 28, 1967, at Wilkes General Hospital. Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the love she gave to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lester Claude Bell and Beatrice Bell, great-grandfather Allen Jackson Halsey Sr and her niece, Amanda Nicole Gray.

Surviving are her daughters, Jacqueline (Jackie) Bernice Gallagher and Katharine (Kat) Marie Hale (husband Chris); her grandsons, Jacob James Gallagher, Paul Allen Quincy Gallagher, and Luke James Cranfill; her sisters, Bobbi Jo Claridge (husband Evan) and Barbara Ann Woodall (husband Tony); her nieces, Maria Kelsi Gray and Renea Lynn Paloalto (husband Nathan); her nephew, Christopher (Chris) Steven Caudill (wife Malaya); her great-nieces, Aubrey Nicole Sigmon, Sophia Kinley Paloalto, Karisma Faith East, and Kaiya Elyssabeth Caudill; and her great-nephews, Bentley Douglas Harrell, Braiden Dean Sigmon, Keshawn Uriah Caudill, and Christopher Steven Caudill Jr.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Lake Hampton at Yadkin Memorial Park, located at 1200 Crystal Lane, Yadkinville, NC 27055.

Jenkins Funeral Home staff is not involved in the memorial service at the park.
