Shareka Ann Payne

Shareka Ann Payne also known as Chyna or Reka age 39, of Winston Salem, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina March 4 , 1987.

She was proceed in death by her late husband Travis Santonio Weaver, Calvin Coffey SR ( Poppa ), Big Granny, Mary Ann Caldwell , her uncle Robert Baldwin(Buddy), and her brother, Linwood wilfong.

Shareka was truly one of a kind—a once-in-a-lifetime person whose presence could light up any room. She had a gift for making something out of nothing and turning ordinary moments into memories that would last forever. She was the life of the party, the person who could make everyone laugh, and a light to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Shareka had a laughter and energy that was unmatched. She loved to cook, dance, sing, and share her love and passion with everyone through her contagious personality and giving nature. Shareka’s strength and compassion were on full display in her unwavering love for her 5 children and the role of herself as the God fearing woman she was.

Above all else, Shareka was an amazing and devoted mother to her five children. Being a mother was one of the greatest joys of her life, and she went above and beyond for her children in every way. She loved fiercely, gave endlessly, and always found a way to make sure the people she loved knew they mattered even her dog , Jada.

Though our hearts are broken, we will celebrate the beautiful life she lived, the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the memories she left in all our hearts.

She is survived by her children, Inezzence Payne, Isziah Payne, Iszrael Payne, Italyia Weaver, and Imag’Jewel Weaver; her parents, Angel Hall, Clayton I., Gill, Mary Ann Caldwell Bristol; stepchildren, Kierra Payne, Kadejah Rippy, Tristan Payne, Corrine Fuller, Kamora Fuller, Andrew Mungro, Daevion Bullard; siblings, Trina Little, Patricia Scott, Sherrise Sykes, Terrence Sykes, John Barksdale; uncles, Charles Coffey , Tyrone Bristol, Calvin Coffey Jr., Shane Pulley, Bobby Smith, Daryl Smith ; aunts, Sarah Mullins, JoAnn Smith, Elizabeth Johnson, Shelia T. White, Ashley Mayfield, Shawanna Coulter, Stephanie Coffey, Debbie Wilson; grandchildren, Jakaila Smith, Jamiyah Stewart, Aa’Niyah Stewart, Naeviah Stewart; birth mother, Patricia Ann Scott; grandmother, Mable Scott; close friend Debra Miles (Deedee ) ,Coop, Winter Brooks, Steven Vang ,as well as a lot of loved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rest peacefully, Shareka. You were loved, you are missed, and you will never be forgotten.

Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, October 2, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home, 4081 Startown Road, Newton, NC 28658, with Pastor Kevin Bibbee, Officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 2:00pm.
