Salvador “Sal” Loza Alvarez, 30, of Conover, passed away on May 27, 2026.
Born on November 25, 1995, in San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato, Mexico, Sal later grew up in Hickory, North Carolina. He was a graduate of St. Stephens High School and worked as a dialysis technician. One of his proudest accomplishments was becoming a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician.
Sal was known for being funny, smart, talented, artistic, and resilient. He enjoyed video games, theater, drawing, and collecting playing cards. Whether sharing a laugh, creating artwork, or spending time with family and friends, Sal had a way of bringing joy to those around him.
Those who knew him will remember his contagious laugh, thoughtful nature, and compassionate heart. He had a gift for making others smile and leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Consuelo Gama, Graciela Hernandez Barba, Rogelio Loza, and Jose Alvarez Mata.
Left to cherish his memory are his fiancée, Amber Hart; his mother, Angelica Alvarez; his father, Salvador Loza Hernandez; his brother, Hector Loza; his sister, Melani Loza and her partner, Noah Miller; his nephew, Mateo Loza-Miller; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Jenkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Though his time here was far too short, Sal’s kindness, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Nació el 25 de noviembre de 1995 en San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato, México, y posteriormente creció en Hickory, Carolina del Norte. Se graduó de St. Stephens High School y trabajó como técnico en diálisis. Uno de sus mayores logros fue obtener la certificación como Técnico Clínico en Hemodiálisis.
Sal era conocido por ser divertido, inteligente, talentoso, artístico y resiliente. Disfrutaba de los videojuegos, el teatro, el dibujo y coleccionar cartas.
