Rosa Oliva Soto

Rosa Oliva Soto, 80, of Hudson died Monday, March 30, 2026 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born August 13th, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Miguel Villalobos and Anna Maria Loria.

Her husband, Henry Soto; her children, Cristina Cleary (James) of Hickory, Guy Hunter of Essex Junction, Vt and Ana Patricia Mathes (Mason) of Newton; her siblings, Maria Eugenia Villalobos Loria, Jorge Luis Villalobos Loria, Miguel Luvin Villalobos Loria, Maria Ester Villalobos Loria and Victor Gerardo Villalobos Loria and her grandchildren, Madison Cleary and Maxwell Mathes survive her.

In addition to her parents, her brother, Jorge preceded her in death.

The funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 6, 2026 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 921 2nd St NE, Hickory, NC 28601. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at the church, and burial will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Lenoir.
