Robert Bruce LeGore

Robert Bruce LeGore, 79, of Conover, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Carolina Caring.

Bob was born May 13, 1947, in Aruba. He graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a degree in Accounting. He proudly served in the United States Army with the 1st Cavalry Division in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968.

Bob loved gardening and working outside in his yard. He had a deep appreciation for nature, especially birds. Above all, he was a wonderful, loving, and caring husband and father who will be deeply missed by his family.

Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Bost LeGore; two sons, Rob LeGore of Maryland and Brian LeGore of Conover; and his sister, Mary Rennicker of Dover, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Robert LeGore and Eugenia Bertranda LeGore; and his brothers, Duane LeGore and Ron LeGore.

A private graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Catawba Memorial Park. The service will be officiated by Chaplain Jeremiah Richards of VA Asheville.
