Ramona Afimia Nastase

Ramona Afimia Nastase, 39, of Hickory, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at her residence.

Born May 26, 1986, Ramona was a loving wife, devoted mother, daughter, and friend. She will be remembered for her strong faith, kind heart, and deep love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Viorel Balan and Maria Gheorghe; and her grandparents, Petru Tudor and Afimia Tudor.

Ramona is survived by her beloved husband, Beniamin “Ben” Nastase; her children, Matthew, Nathan, Diana, Debora “Debbie,” and Joseph Nastase. She is also survived by her parents-in-law, Ilie and Maria Nastase; her sister-in-law, Virginia (Mike), Christina (Derrick), and Sefora (Daniel); her brother-in-law, Emanuel; her nieces, Becca, Rachel, Naomi, Ellie, Sarah, Hannah, Ruth, Jessica, and June; her nephews, Josh, Jacob, Darius, Daniel, and Ethan; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the Romanian Pentecostal Church of Hickory.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday at the church, with burial to follow at Brookford Cemetery.
