Patricia "Pat" Robenia McMahan Sartain

Patricia "Pat" Robenia McMahan Sartain, 81, of Newton passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 in her home. Born, July 20th, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Britten Samuel McMahan and Pauline Hoover McMahan Loftis. She found joy in singing, attending church, and tending to her garden, and she cherished her grandchildren and family above all else.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 62 years, Lanny Ellington Sartain; her daughters, Barbara Ann Sartain Wine, S. Hope Sartain Hughes, and Wendy Sartain Goble; her sisters, Beatrice Arrowood, Juanita Lawing, and Diana Burleson (Bill); her brother-in-law, S.L. Sartain; her ten grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her step father, Richard Loftis; and her brother-in-law, Wayne Arrowood.

The family will receive friends 12p.m.-1p.m Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center. The service will be 1p.m. in Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shawn Milburn of Cavalry Baptist Church officiating. The burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
