Patricia Newell Heavner Hedrick

Patricia Newell Hedrick, 89, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 at Trinity Village. Born May 1st, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Newell Heavner and Metta Travis Heavner.

She is survived by her sons, Rocky Hedrick (Sandra Harmon) of Hickory, and Mark Hedrick (Donna) of Cape Coral; her grandchildren, McCall and Mason Hedrick; her sisters, Judy Lutz and Almeita Helton; and her brothers, Ralph Dale and Randy Heavner.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe Hedrick; her sisters, Billy Sigmond, and Peggy Davis; her brother, Micheal Heavener; and her granddaughter, Nichole Hedrick.

Pat was a true angel on earth—kind, selfless, and endlessly thoughtful. She had a gift for making others smile, often with just a few words of her quick wit and gentle humor. Pat found joy in the simple moments, especially in caring for her beloved family and her cherished little dog, Holly. Her warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will honor Pat’s life with private services and gatherings to celebrate the beautiful person she was.
