Norma Jean Brannock

Norma Jean Brannock, 60, of Murphy, died Sunday, October 18, 2026. Born March 2nd, 1966 she was the daughter of David Thomas Brannock and Brenda Martha Wells. Norma loved to watch all sports, especially UNC basketball, Atlanta Braves baseball and Georgia football. She was an elite athlete at Andrews High School and played volleyball, basketball, softball and track and field. She loved her church and studying the Bible, she loved all types of music, especially 80's music, and she enjoyed the Senior Center Activities with her friends and Kiki. She will be greatly missed. She was precious and resilient.

Her mother, Brenda Wells, her siblings, Lisa Bredickas (Vincent), Wayne Brannock; step-sister, Khrystal Nations and her nephew, Chase Bredickas survive her.

Her step-father, Hubert Nations and step-brother, Bruce Nations preceded her in death.

The memorial service will be 4:00 P.M. Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Holman officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 P.M. in the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
