Mark Allan Poplawski

Mark Poplawski passed away on October 19, 2025, born, November 17, 1951.

A proud U.S. Marine and dedicated public servant, Mr. Poplawski devoted more than thirty years to government service. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Aloysius Church and a cherished member of his community.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen Tonkin Poplawski; daughters Marya DiPerna (Frank) and Elizabeth Lentz (Gregory); grandchildren Emma and Lily Lentz, and Thomas and Madeline DiPerna; and his sister, Victoria McGavin (Michael).

Mr. Poplawski found great joy in fellowship with friends through the Neighbors Network, playing bridge and enjoyed dominoes at Conover First United Methodist Church. He also treasured card games at Valley Hills Mall.

The family will have a Mass celebrating his life at 9:30a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church located at 921 2nd St NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
