Mark Kevin Dancy 51 of Winston-Salem died Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 at Northside Dialysis Center. Born February 2nd, 1967 he was the son of Linda Ball Dancy and the late David E. Dancy. Mark was a humble, loving and caring person that never met a stranger. He was a family man who was proud of his daughter. Kellie was the love of his life and Morgan was his pride and joy. He served and taught in many church capacities. His favorite was working with the youth. Mark was an accomplished musician who loved the outdoors especially camping and playing golf. He played the drums in many different bands and was also accomplished in guitar, piano and other instruments. He earned his Eagle which is the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.
His wife of 20 years, Kellie Dancy of the home; a daughter, Morgan Dancy of the home; his mother Linda Ball Dancy of Hickory; three brothers, Chad Dancy of Hickory, Brad Dancy and wife Renee of Hickory; Michael and wife Marissa of Winston-Salem; four sisters, Lisa Blalock and husband Jeff of Valdese, Cherie Dancy of the home, Andrea Dancy of Newton, Brooke Hall and husband Steven of Ft. Rucker, AL; numerous nieces and nephews survive him.
The funeral will be 12:00 pm Monday, March 5th, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hickory. Burial will follow at Balls Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm Sunday, March 4th, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hickory.
