Manley Joe Barker

Manley Joe Barker, 48, of Valdese died Thursday, February 19, 2026 at UNC Health Blue Ridge. Born March 11th, 1977 he was the son of Charles Edward Barker and Retha McDonald.

His wife, Christina Barker; his mother, Retha McDonald; his daughters, Jessica Barker and fiancé, Mitchell Millsaps, Cassie Barker and Leslie Barker; his in-laws, Danny and Debra Bridges; his grandmother, Margaret Bridges; his brother, Jesse Barker; his grandson Isacc Williams, and numerous cousins and friends survive him.

In addition to his father, his grandparents, Manley and Marie Heavner preceded him in death.

The memorial service will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Causby officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. in the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
