Lucina Delgado Rodriguez

Lucina Delgado Rodriguez, de 99 años, de Lincolnton, falleció el domingo 6 de septiembre de 2026 en Atrium Health. Nació el 30 de junio de 1927 y fue hija de los fallecidos Jeronimo Delgado Mondragon y Lorenza Rodriguez Soza.

Lucina tenía un profundo amor por Dios y por su fe. A los 70 años, comenzó a leer la Biblia y, gracias a su dedicación y deseo de conocer la Palabra de Dios, aprendió a leer por sí misma. Su fe fue una parte muy importante de su vida y permaneció como una fuente de fortaleza y consuelo.

Ella atesoraba el tiempo que pasaba con su familia. Sobre todo, amaba profundamente a su familia, y su recuerdo permanecerá en los corazones de todos aquellos que la conocieron y amaron.

Lucina será recordada por su fe, su naturaleza trabajadora y, sobre todo, por el amor que brindó a su familia. Deja un hermoso legado de amor y devoción que continuará a través de las generaciones.

Le sobreviven su hija, Maria Martinez; sus hijos, Jose Figueroa, Roberto Figueroa, Evis Figueroa y Alphonso Albarran; y muchos nietos y bisnietos queridos.

La familia recibirá a sus amigos de 3:00 a 5:00 p. m., el jueves 10 de septiembre de 2026, en el Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center. Lucina Delgado Rodriguez, 99, of Lincolnton passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Atrium Health. Born, June 30th, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Jeronimo Delgado Mondragon and Lorenza Rodriguez Soza.

Lucina had a deep love for God and her faith. At the age of 70, she began reading the Bible, and through her dedication and desire to know God’s Word, she taught herself to read. Her faith was an important part of her life and remained a source of strength and comfort.

She cherished the time she spent with her family. Above all, she loved her family dearly, and her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Lucina will be remembered for her faith, hard working nature, and, most of all, the love she gave to her family. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and devotion that will continue through the generations.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria Martinez; her sons, Jose Figueroa, Roberto Figueroa, Evis Figueroa, and Alphonso Albarran; and many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3-5pm, Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center. The funeral mass will be 12pm, Friday, September 11, 2026 at St. Dorothy's Catholic Church, 148 St Dorothy's Ln, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
