Linda M. McCaslin

 Linda M. McCaslin, 72, of Conover, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice House. She was born on August 27, 1952, the daughter of the late Gus and Alpha Mills.

Linda is survived by her loving children: Charlene Mullins and husband Larry of Clintwood, VA; Michael Fleming of Lenoir; and Wendi Fleming of Conover. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Samantha Graham, Jessica Mateyunas, Stefanie Mullins, Kellie Cael, Konner Rothrock, Josh Mullins, and Michael Fleming II; and eight beloved great-grandchildren.

She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews: Greg Mills of Pompano, FL; Sandy Mullins of Kingsport, TN; and Robbie Fleming of Clintwood, VA as well as many special cousins and friends who were dear to her heart.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe F. McCaslin Sr. whom she spent 35 wonderful years enjoying camping and spending time with their Green Mountain friends and two dogs; the father of her children, William Buddy Fleming; and her siblings: Eugene Mills, Samuel Mills, Sue Large, Cathy Fleming, Betty Mullins, and an infant sister all of Clintwood, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will take place at Catawba Memorial Park, 3060 US Highway 70 SW, Hickory, NC 28602.
