Linda Huskins Chandler

Linda Huskins Chandler, age 82, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026. She was born on August 28, 1943, to Lonis Huskins and Virginia Thomas Huskins of Bakersville, and lived a life filled with love, family, and simple joys that brought her happiness every day.

Linda was a devoted Nana whose greatest pride was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her granddaughter, Taylor Powell (Chris), and her cherished great-granddaughter, Peyton, who brought endless light into her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Tony Buchanan, whom she carried in her heart always.

She also leaves behind her brother, Kenny Huskins (Sharon), as well as her nephews, Mark Huskins (Donna) and Alan Huskins (Lisa), and her great-niece, April Forbes (Josh), all of whom she loved dearly.

An avid sports fan, Linda rarely missed a game and could always be counted on to cheer passionately for her favorite teams. She also had a deep love for the beach, where she found peace in the sound of the waves and joy in the warmth of the sun.

Linda will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held 10:30am Tuesday April 14 2026 at Lily Branch Baptist Church 3125 Snow Creek Rd, Bakersville, NC 28705 to celebrate her life.
