Lilly May Jenkins

Lilly May Mathis Jenkins, 81, of York, South Carolina passed away on June 17, 2026, at Atrium Health in Charlotte.

Born on October 23, 1944, in Gaston County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John R. Mathis and Elsie Jane Bonham Mathis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Cecil Clarence Bond and her daughter, Telitha Shannon Bond Carter.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Samara Lunceford, Delilah Jane, and Davana Lee; her sons, John Joseph Bond and Jackson Vance Bond; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who will lovingly remember her.

Mrs. Jenkins will be laid to rest in a natural green burial at Kings Mountain Preserve. A future Memorial Service will be held for family and friends at a later date.
