Kenneth Douglas Caldwell, 35, of Newton died Saturday, August 16, 2025. Born May 29th, 1990 he was the son of Charles and Jovona Caldwell.
Kenny lived his life always with a smile lighting up his face. He loved getting lost in a good book, or flipping through the pages of his favorite comics. If you ever got him started on one of his favorite topics like sports, music, movies, or history… he would talk your ear off for hours, passionately telling you every single detail he knew about it. Ask him if he’d like to go cruisin’ to pass the time, and he’d never tell you no. He was always down for some good tunes filling the cab of his truck, and the cool wind blowing through his hair. But anyone who knew him best, knew that his favorite way to spend his time was with his family. He took being a son, brother, and uncle to heart. Making sure he was the best one he could be. Always offering a listening ear when you needed someone to talk to. If you were feeling down, he always knew the right words to say, and his hearty laugh was guaranteed to brighten your day.
For over ten years he battled with his mental health, never losing the hope that one day he would overcome his struggles that plagued him. He leaned on his mother often, choosing to focus on the love they shared between them to always guide him back to himself whenever he felt lost in the darker places of his mind. Wanting her to read to him from his bible every night before he went to bed to help calm his racing thoughts and bring peace to his weathered soul. Through every up and down Kenny’s love for his family never faltered. And in the end his body may have failed him—causing him to leave this earth sooner than he ever should have—but the love he left behind will last forever. Sewn deep into the hearts of those who loved him. The light he shined into this world will never dim or fade away, but will continue to shine bright as a constant reminder of who he was and who he always wanted to be. And when his loved ones are saddened from their loss and miss him, just remember:
His smile will never be far. Just look up to the sky and know, he watches over you from heaven.
His parents, Charles and Jovona Caldwell; his siblings, Kimberly Silverio (Salvador), Charles Caldwell III, Megan Caldwell; his neices and nephews, Mia Silverio, Savy Silverio, Evelyn Silverio and Sophia Silverio survive him.
His grandfather, Bobby Cronan preceded him in death.
