Kay Hatley Salyers

Kay Hatley Salyers, 61, of Newton passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026 in her home. Born, October 17th, 1964 she was the daughter of William Howard Hatley and Flossie Ellen Wallace.

Kay loved caring for her family and was known for her kind and giving heart. She was a devoted Christian, mother, and caretaker who always put others before herself. She never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Kay would have done anything for anyone and was deeply loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving sons, Matthew Arnold (Ekaterina), Will Salyers (Maddie), Luke Salyers (Brianna); her siblings, Rick Wallace (Glenda), Bob Hatley, Sandy Wilfong (Terry), Pam Smith (Mike), Donna Turner (Dennis); her grandchildren, Alexis Huffman, and Lillian Arnold; and her special friends Sandy Sigmon, Kristi Grimes, and Teresa Townsend.

She is preceded in death by her father, William Howard Hatley; and her daughter, Danielle Arnold.

The family will have a graveside service officiated by Pastor Jody York at 12pm, Monday March 9th at Conover City Cemetery located at 3rd St SE at Conover Blvd E (US Hwy 70) Conover, North Carolina.
