Justin Lee Hedrick, 44, of Catawba, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born on February 25, 1982, he was the son of Ronald Lee Hedrick and Delores Garrison.

He was a proud Marine veteran whose strength and loyalty remained with him throughout his life. He had a deep love for animals and opened his heart to many, rescuing those in need whenever he could. He found great joy in music, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

Known for his trusting nature and open mind, he welcomed others without judgment and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Above all, he loved his family in his own unique way, and that love remained a constant throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Samantha Ferrar; his daughter, Madelyn Hedrick-Creed (Nicholas Creed); his father, Ronald Lee Hedrick; his mother, Delores Garrison (Charles Garrison); his brother, Matthew Garrison; his step-brothers, Johnny Spencer and Alan Spencer; his aunts, Roberta Sigmon (Melvin Sigmon), Kathy Seals (Steve Seals), and Sandy Fraley (Walter Fraley); and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rendi Pennington; his grandparents, Leonard Hedrick, Catherine Hedrick, Ray Hinson, and Dolly Hinson; his stepmother, Belva Spencer; his uncles, Jimmy Hedrick, Clyde Shook, Billy Hinson, and Jeffrey Hinson; and his aunts, Shelby Clayton and Debra Hinson.

A committal service with military honors will be held promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Boulevard, Salisbury, NC 28144. Guests are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early, as the cemetery maintains a strict schedule for all services.
