Joyce Hammonds Blackburn

Joyce Hammonds Blackburn, 80, of Mooresville died Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Glenwood Nursing and Rehab. Born February 22nd, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Grady and Mable Hammonds.

Her children, Tina Miller (Tommy), Lee-Ann Morrow (Daniel) and Levi Breiten; her step-sons, Junior Blackburn (Missy) and Jimmy Freeman (Lori); her grandchildren, Bubba Miller, Tyson Miller, Jacob Morrow, Brianna Nash, Jacob Blackburn, Colby Blackburn, Tiffani Terry, Brittani Turcotte and numerous great-grandchildren survive her.

In addition to her parents, her spouse, Albert Blackburn Sr.; her siblings, Elmer Hammonds Marie Freund, Pearl Wilkerson, Frank Hammonds and Ada Lou preceded her in death.

The family will have a graveside service 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Olivet Baptist Church. 7893 Monbo Road Catawba, NC 28609 with Ronnie Crump officiating.
