Johnny "JJ" Tyler

Johnny Joseph Tyler, 45, of Collettsville, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026. Born June 13, 1980, he was the son of the late Johnny Tyler and Janet Elaine McAbee.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Theresa Ann Tyler; his children, Haley Tyler, Anthony Hunt, and Zachary Hunt; his grandchildren, Cohen Stafford and Vivienne Stafford; his brother, Moe Christopher (Teresa); and many loving extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allen Guy and Mary Ruth Guy; his sister, Rebecca Jean Christopher; and his stepfather, Bobby McAbee.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at The Springs Church of God, 687 Springs East Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., with the memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Jenkins Funeral Home staff will not be involved in the memorial service at the church.
