Howard Lee Hullett Sr.

Howard Lee Hullett Sr., 77, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025 in his home. Born October 17, 1947 he was the son of the late Clyde Hullet and Jessie Sigmon.

He was a proud retiree of the Newton Conover Rescue Squad, where he dedicated many years to serving his community. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. He found great joy in being on the lake, where he felt most at peace, and he especially loved celebrating the 4th of July a holiday that brought together his love of family, freedom, and fun. He was a lifelong member of Wilkies Grove Baptist Church and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his sons: H. Lee Hullett Jr. (Melinda) , Robert L. Hullett (Paula), John F. Hullett (Airell); his six siblings; his grandchildren: Kevin, Justin, Caitlin, Cordillia, RJ, William, Brittany, Kayla H., Kayla R., John Jr., and Jacob; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Clyde Hullet, and Jessie Sigmon, he is preceded in death by his sister.

The family will receive friends 1p.m.-2p.m., Monday October 6, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center the Funeral Service will be at 2p.m. in Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Thurman Roe. The burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
