Pete Edgar Prince

Gordon Edgar Prince (Pete), 59 of Hickory, passed away at home Tuesday, January 27,2026 after a brief battle with cancer. Born, August 16, 1966, he was the son of Billie Andrew Prince and Brenda Kay Hamilton who both preceded him in death.

His wife of 33 years, Carla Roxanne Yount Prince, survives him. Other surviving family includes a sister, Wanda Goble and husband Teddie. Nieces Tammera Snow Shook and Savannah Raven Poteat and nephew Joshua Cherokee Ridge Parson. A sister-in-law, Sherry Yount Deitz and husband, William. Nieces Hannah Easter-Johnson, Kaitlyn Easter and Graci Deitz and great nephew Everett Deitz.

There will be a celebration of Pete’s life at Oxford Baptist Church in Conover Saturday, February 21,2026 at 12:00. The family will receive friends at that time and have a time of remembrance and reflection.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Humane Society of Catawba County or Shriners Hospital.

Jenkins Funeral Home staff are not involved in the service at the church.
