George Bozmoff, Jr., a cherished husband, father, friend, and devoted community member, who went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. George was peacefully surrounded by his loving wife at the Asheville VA Medical Center at the time of his departure. George Bozmoff was born on Thursday, May 11, 1944, in Virginia, to the late George Bozmoff Sr. and Gradelet Ross Bozmoff. A resident of Newton, NC, George was a master carpenter whose skilled hands crafted beauty and utility for those around him. He was a proud veteran, having served bravely in the United States Navy.
George’s life was a testament to his kind-hearted nature and incomparable work ethic. He possessed a deep love for dance and carried with him a beautiful tenor voice, often heard whistling his favorite tunes. His dedication to helping others was evident in his work on landmark projects such as Murray’s Mill, the Courthouse in Newton, and the Historical Society, where he restored precious display cases.
His talents with tools extended beyond historical restorations; he created a cherished "she shed" for his beloved wife, a testament to his love and skilled craftsmanship. His assistance knew no bounds, as he was ever willing to offer his help where needed, whether it be for a broken hinge or a heartfelt conversation. A man of many interests, George had a profound passion for tending to his yard and nurturing his saltwater fish tank, finding solace and satisfaction in these hobbies. George was an active and dedicated member of New Life Authentic Christian Community, where his charismatic presence and contributions will be sorely missed.
His loving wife of 34 years, Mary Bozmoff; six children, Michelle, Richard, Samone, Lisa, David, and Tracy; his stepchildren, Kristina, Stephen and Maranda; His sister, Ann Rafferty (John); his brother-in-law, Bruce Britton; his sister, Holly Moore; his sister, Tammy Moss; 12 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren survive him.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Debbie Britton; his brother-in-laws, Jack Moss and Daryl Moore preceded him in death.
The memorial service will be at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at New Life Authentic Christian Community with Pastor Chris Gruver officiating. 4639 County Home Road Conover, NC 28613. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:00 at the church, and a meal will follow.

George Bozmoff will always be remembered for his unwavering faith, love for his family and community, and his joyous whistling that brought smiles to those blessed to have known him. May he rest in everlasting peace.
