Gary Page Johnson

Gary Page Johnson, 81, of Graham, died Thursday, March 4, 2026 at Mebane Ridge Assisted Living Facility. Born November 10, 1944, he was the son of the late Verta Keck and Harrison Johnson. Gary was a kind, humorous and stern man who was both service and family oriented. 

His sons, Chad Johnson (Kristen) and Eric Johnson (Karen); his step-daughter, Kim Canipe (Chris); his sister, Gail Blackburn (Richard), Ricky Johnson (Patsy) of Newton, NC; brothers, James (Jim) Johnson, Terry Johnson (Diane) of Hickory, NC and sister-in-law, Paula Johnson of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Heather Greene )Sterling), Aaron Canipe (Meredith), Ryleigh Bush (Isaac), McKinley Johnson, Edward Metz, Joshua Metz and Andrew Mets; three great-grandchildren, Lily Canipe, Ada Greene and Bodie Bush and numerous nieces and nephews survive him.

In addition to his parents, his spouse, Thelma Johnson; siblings, Barbara Johnson, Katheryn Herman, Billy Johnson and Danny Johnson preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 11, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor David Drysdale officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. at the church and burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
