Gary Neal Jenkins, 77, of Hickory died Friday, December 18, 2020 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born, June 1st, 1943 he was the son of Laban Jenkins and Naomi Stroupe Jenkins. Gary was a passionate Carolina Tarheel Fan, loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Atlanta Braves. He was an avid reader and loved spending time with his family.
Gary is survived by three children, Judy Armstrong (Steve) of Lincolnton, Cindy Clontz (Mark) of Hickory and John Jenkins (Cindy) of Connelly Springs; four grandchildren, Amber Cadle (Jon Michael) of Hickory, Eric Armstrong (Kaitlyn) of Concord, Briana Clontz of Prosperity SC and Blaine Jenkins; a great grandson Leeland Armstrong; a brother James Jenkins (Anna) of Hickory and a sister Vicky McIntosh of Granite Falls.
In addition of his parents a sister Betty Fowler preceded him in death.
A private family service will be held at Jenkins Funeral Home.
