Flossie Hatley Blackburn

Flossie Ellen Hatley Blackburn, 93, of Newton died Monday, June 1, 2026 at her residence. Born April 22nd, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Claude and Mamie Wallace. She was a very caring lady who loved her family and the Lord with all of her heart.

Her children, Rick Wallace (Glenda), Bob Hatley, Sandy Wilfong (Terry), Pam Smith (Mike) and  Donna Turner (Dennis); an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild and her special friends, Jimmy and Cathy Cline survive her.

In addition to her parents, her first spouse, William Hatley and her second spouse, James Blackburn; her daughter Patsy Kay Salyers and her grandchildren, Danielle Arnold, Ricky Wallace and Nicholas Wallace preceded her in death.

The funeral will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, June 5, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 P.M. in the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home and burial will follow at Conover Cemetery.
