Donnie Coite Abee, 75, of Matthews died Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at his home. Born Saturday, February 1, 1947; he was the son of Ernest Lorenzo Bowman and Bronnie Mae Smith Bowman. Donnie is survived by his brother, Ernie Bowman; his daughter Tammi Fain, and his granddaughters Taylor and Chesney Fain.
Donnie loved fishing and taught square dancing. He raced sail boats and loved riding his Harley and taking care of all animals. He was a US Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Medal as well as the Good Conduct Medal.
There will be a Graveside Service on Tuesday, September 13th, at 2:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church in Vale, officiated by Pastor William Kanupp. The Service will be followed by military honors.
