Donna "Kay" DelVechio

Donna "Kay" DelVechio, 69, of Newton passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Catawba Valley Medical . Born, June 30th, 1956 she was the daughter of the late Forest and Carmen Whitener, aka "Daddy and Mother Whitener".

She is survived by her sons, Jody DelVechio, and Chad DelVechio; her sister, Sue Ward; and her chosen sister, Wanda Jones.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Gail Jones.

The family will receive friends 10a.m.-11a.m Friday, January 23, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center. The Memorial Service will follow at 11a.m. in Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.
