David Wayne Hollar

David Wayne Hollar, 73, of Conover died Sunday, May 10, 2026 at his residence. Born August 31st, 1952 he was the son of Claude and Violet Hollar. He spent his career as a fixing technician. He believed in the Lord and was a born again Christian. He was a hard working man who would do anything for anyone, and he loved to make people laugh and smile and loved a hamburger. He loved his family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

His wife, Brenda Hollar; his children, Shane Hollar (Gwen), Danielle Taylor (Thomas), Julie Wycoff (Brandon), Steven Hollar (Scott Martin), Jeff Lowman (Christine), Kristina Lowman and Katherine McDowell; his brother, Jeff Hollar (Robyn) and niece and nephew, Ali and Jeffrey; two sisters, Vesta Rhoades and Phyllis Propst (Gary) and six additional nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren, Jake Lowman and Kaileigh Harrison (Travis) survive him.

His parents preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 5:00 P.M. Friday, May 15, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 P.M., and burial will follow in the Jenkins Cemetery.
