Colene H. Taylor

Colene H. Taylor, 94, of Hickory, passed away in her home on Monday, August 18, 2025. Born on August 15, 1931, Colene lived a life devoted to her family, filled with love, care, and quiet strength.

Colene had an unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her family was her world, and she remained steadfastly by their side through all of life’s seasons. She had a deep affection for animals and found great joy in caring for them. In her earlier years, she was known for her love of cooking and the warmth she brought to her home.

She is survived by her son, James Randall, and her granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Clay.

Colene was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James Monroe Taylor, and her daughter, Teresa Ann Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Catawba County Humane Society, honoring Colene’s lifelong love for animals.

In honor of Colene's wishes, there will be no services.
