Clemens Schneider, 77, of Hickory, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026. Born on February 28, 1949, in Rugby, North Dakota, Clem lived a life defined by dedication to his family and service to his country. A devoted Christian, his unwavering faith was a guiding light throughout his life and a source of strength and comfort for those around him.

Clem proudly served for over seven years in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. His military service was a source of great pride and honor, shaping the values of duty and commitment that he carried throughout his life.

Family was central to Clems' world. He was a devoted father to his three daughters: Shellie Lindler (Brian), Shauna Castillo, and Michelle Cortes (Ricardo). Known affectionately as "Dad" and "Papa," Clem treasured every moment spent with his family, whether at home or cheering from the sidelines for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 31 years, Linda Magill Schneider, whose partnership brought him immense joy and strength. Clemens was also preceded in death by three siblings: Barbara LaBarre, Patrick Schneider, and Gerald Schneider, as well as Jason Gray who was like a son to him.

He is survived by six siblings: Cathy Cox (William), Bonita Burdick (William), Shirley Tavis (Joe), Robert Schneider (Vicki), Richard Schneider (Pamela), and Ronald Schneider (Shelley). Additionally, Cindy Schneider, his sister-in-law, holds fond memories of him. Clems' legacy lives on through numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward the love and memories they shared with him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 25, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Jenkins Funeral Home, 4081 Startown Road. A private family gathering will take place from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Friends are invited to join the family from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, with Military Honors beginning at 3:30 PM.

Clems' life was marked by quiet strength and unwavering devotion. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
