Clara Belle Whitley

Clara Belle Whitley, 90, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Born on September 9, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles P. Mason and Hattie Hoyle Mason. Clara was a devoted lifelong member of Oak Grove Methodist Church, where she worshipped for 90 years.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Whitley of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Christopher Whitley and Jonathan Whitley and his wife, Miranda; and her great-grandchildren, Holden Whitley and Nate Whitley.

Clara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Thomas "Sam" Whitley.

An inurnment service will be held 10AM Monday, June 30, 2025 at Sharon Memorial Park located at 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.
