Charles Leonard Bolick, 85, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026 at his home in Conover.

Born on September 19 th 1940 he was the son of the late Robert L Bolick and Grace L Bolick. Charles was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Joyce H Bolick, Sisters: Ruth Bolick, Elizabeth Bolick, Dee Bolick, and Sarah Ann Price. Brothers: Aaron Bolick, Robert Bolick Jr., and Johnny Bolick.

Charles attended Fred T. Foard High School, began working in textiles at Joan Fabrics and later retired from Superior Cable both in Hickory. Charles enjoyed trading vehicles, collecting and driving vintage cars often attending and participating in car shows. He enjoyed camping with his wife and friends in numerous campers they owned. He liked sitting around the campsite or on the porch simply spending time with the ones he loved. He and Joyce also owned a motorcycle where they could go for joyrides together.

He is survived by his siblings: Richard Bolick (Judith), Linda Hice, Lawrence Bolick (Edith), Kenny Bolick and many loving nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday September 16 th 2026 at Catawba Memorial Park with Lawrence Bolick officiating.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his fabulous (private) caregiving team: Sandy Austin, Kim, Amy, Elliott, Tonya, Sarah, Michelle, Baylie and Myla. All the wonderful folks at Caroling Caring: Mai, Lisa, JeanMarie, Shoua and their support staff. Finally, to their nephew Nelson Price for his tireless efforts toward fulfilling Charles and Joyce’s desire to remain at home during their final years until they could be reunited in heaven.

Memorials may be made to Carolina Caring Hospice. Pallbearers will be Nelson Price, Timothy Bolick, Mark Bolick, Alton Price, Terry Bolick, and Harold Price.
