Carroll Dean Buff

Carroll Dean Buff, 80, of Hickory died Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Carolina Caring. Born June 24th, 1945 he was the son of the late Buford and Beddie Buff. He was an active member of Startown First Baptist Church where he spent years serving as a Sunday School teacher and youth director.

His loving wife of 48 years, Sharon Buff; his daughters, Nicole Hicks (Joe) and Carolyn Holman (Buddy); his son, Dean Buff; his sister, Brenda Wells; his brother, Earnest Buff; his six grandchildren, Tracy Lominac, Matthew Holman, Lisa Hoyle, Ashley Green, Joseph Hicks and Gemma Hicks and his seven great-grandchildren, Luke Conrad, Adrian Conrad, Jeremy Hoyle, Isaac Holman, Caleb Hoyle, Lincoln Holman and Sydney Lominac survive him.

In addition to his parents, his brother, Greer Buff preceded him in death.

The memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Startown First Baptist Church with Pastor William Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials to go to Startown First Baptist Church.
