Carolyn Blackwell Butler

Carolyn Blackwell Butler, 82, of Vale passed away Thursday, May 8th, 2025 at The Greens at Lincolnton. Born, November 7th, 1942 she was the daughter of the late William "Blackie" Anson Blackwell and Gladys Irene Blackwell.

She is survived by her children, Cathy Butler Holland (Tommy) of Vale, NC, and JD Butler (Beth) of Alabama; her sister, Mildred Robinson (Gary) of Blacksburg, SC; her grandchildren, Rusty Holland (Leslie) of Lincolnton, NC, Billy Ray Butler (Katie) of Idaho Falls, and Lauren Drenth (Calvin) of Decatur, Alabama; and her great-grandchildren, Kenley Butler, Cooper Holland, Noah South, Karson Butler, Cole Holland, Kamden Butler, and Harper Drenth.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jean Butler; and her brothers, Edward Blackwell and Leroy Blackwell.

The family will have a Celebration of Life, 4:30PM Friday 16th, 2025 at New Vision Ministries located at 661 Clark Creek Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to go to New Vision Ministries and Hospice of Lincoln County.

Jenkins Funeral Home staff is not involved in the memorial service at the church.
