Carl Moore Smith, 79, of Hickory died Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born May 22nd, 1942 he was the son of Cloyd and Mary Smith.
A daughter, Peggy Smith (Danny Tensley) of Bethlehem; three sons, Tim Smith (Alesa Adams) of Concord, Ernie Smith of the home and Bert Smith (Karon McKinney) of Lincolnton; a brother, Larry Smith; a sister, Ann Worley; five grandchildren, Lili Tensley, Lindsey Cale, Tanner Smith, Kayleigh Smith and Aiden Smith survive him.
In addition to his parents, his spouse, Gail Smith; three brothers, Carroll Smith, Johnny Smith and Wentford Smith; five sisters, Wayburn Hare, Rachel Sholtz, Ruth Hill, Dorothy Icenhour and Hazel Bolick and two grandchildren, T.J Smith and Cassie Smith preceded him in death
The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday July 21, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Jenkins Cemetery.
