Bonnie Sue Elam

Bonnie Sue Elam, 84, of Claremont, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at her residence. Born June 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Dock and Mary Lou Canipe.

Bonnie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family and the time spent with them. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with her love and care.

She is survived by her children; son, Otis Morrison Sr., his wife, Sandy Morrison, step-mother, and son, Otis Morrison, Jr.; daughter Tracy Shelton, and her children, Chelsey Kanupp, Jess Lowrey and Kelsey Santizo; and daughter, Monica Morrison, and her children, Crystal Padgett, Melissa Price, Candace Rash, and Eric Winkler; and 22 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Jenkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Newton.
