Bobby Michael Lovelace, 64, of Maiden passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born, October 9th, 1960 he was the son of Bobby Richard Lovelace and Clara Lovelace.
Michael Lovelace never met a stranger, he touched the lives of everyone he met with kindness and warmth. A lifelong sports fanatic, he passionately followed the Tar Heels, the Steelers, and the Pirates. But nothing brought him more joy than watching his grandson play baseball; he never missed a single game.
Michael had an infectious smile and a laugh that could light up a room. He was known for his joyful spirit and unwavering optimism. Above all, he loved his family deeply. His daughters were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A devoted son, husband, father, and proud pawpaw, Michael was a man of his word who always kept his promises. His love, laughter, and loyalty will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Clara Lovelace of Maiden; his loving wife of 29 years, Rhonda Lovelace of Maiden; his children, Crystal Costanzo (Joe) of Huntersville, Jessica Bumgardner (Aaron) of Casar, Raven Lovelace (Corey) of Lincolnton; his grandchildren, Ayden, Ashton, Alex, Remi; his son-in-love, Ben Agnew; and his uncle Clyde Lovelace.
In addition to his father, Bobby Richard Lovelace, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd Lovelace and Jessie Lovelace; his aunt Millie Lovelace; and his grandson Hudson Michael Ward.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Chris Randall officiating in Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.
