Billy Vernon Weathers

Billy Vernon Weathers, 86, of Newton passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Carolina Caring. Born, January 22nd, 1940 he was the son of the late Marion A. Weathers and Lola C. Weathers. He served in the Army and had a deep love for the outdoors, spending much of his time fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Weathers and his wife, Amanda; his daughter Dana Link; his sister and brother; his grandchildren, Karter, Laura, Mandy, and Brittany; and three great-granddaughters.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, 3p.m. - 5p.m. February 17, 2026 in Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center.
