Billy D. Crump

Billy Dean Crump, 68, of Hickory, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Carolina Caring. He was born on December 29, 1956, in Hickory, North Carolina, the son of the late George Lee Crump and the late Iris Jennings Crouse.

Billy had a deep love for music—he enjoyed playing the guitar and performing in bands. He also loved fishing, spending time at the beach, and, in his younger years, riding horses. He retired from Century Furniture Manufacturing. One of his greatest companions was his beloved dog, Diesel.

He is survived by his brother, Danny D. Crump of Hickory; sisters, Barbara Lackey of Hickory and Donna B. Solomon and husband Jay of Titusville, Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Per Billy’s request, no services will be held.
