Beverly Belyea Schoendube, 92 of Hickory, NC passed away peacefully on May 5th, 2022, surrounded by her three loving daughters.
Beverly is predeceased by her husband Charles W. Schoendube of 59 years.

Beverly dedicated her life to her family and serving her community. Born in Albany, NY where she met her beloved husband Charles, the couple moved to Lee, MA where they lived for 22 years and raised their family before Charles’ job with General Electric relocated the family to Hickory in 1972.
Her greatest passion was reading to children at local schools and dressing up for holidays. She even became known as the “The Tootsie Roll Lady” for giving out her signature candies when visiting. Through her dedication to volunteering, she was awarded the NC Governor’s Award and A Thousand Points of Light Award from President George H. W. Bush, which were her most prized, among others. She never met a stranger and could put a smile on anyone’s face with her amazing personality and charm.
The family would like to thank the staff of Trinity Ridge for the love and compassion given to her over the last 6 years.
A celebration of her life will be held at Corinth Reformed Church on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, Beverly's wishes were to have donations made to Make-A-Wish or to Corinth Reformed Church.
