Barry Dean Hooks

Barry Dean Hooks, 60, of Morganton died Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Amorem Hospice. Born April 6th, 1966 he was the son of Robert and Martie Hooks. Barry Was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

His loving wife of 30 years, Christine Hooks; his brothers, Bobby Brown and Robert Hooks; his sister, Ginger Hambright; three step-children, Jennifer Orintz, Jessica DuBois and John Ratliff Jr.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive him.

In addition to his parents, his brother, Terry Brown and his great-granddaughter, Rosie DuBois preceded him in death.

The graveside service will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Triniy Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Hodge officiating.
